Clear Recent Items
Windows Vista 'Recent Items' (located on the right side of the Start menu) shows a list of recently used files. You can easily open any file from the 'Recent Items' list by simply clicking on it. 'Recent Items' appear on the Start menu by default.
Clear All History allows you to easily clear the Recent Items list located in the Start menu.

The fastest way to clear history tracks:
Double-click the Clear All History desktop icon
Click the 'Tools' button in the program toolbar.
Select What to Clear.
Click the 'Quick select' button.
Click the 'Clear all selected items' button or click 'Clear All'

Clear Recent Items:
• Double-click the Clear All History desktop icon
• Click the 'Tools' button  in the toolbar.
• Select What to Clear -> Application History.
• Check the 'Empty Recent Items list' option.
• Click the 'Empty now' button or click the 'Clear All' button in the program toolbar.
Clear Recent Items automatically:
• Double-click the Clear All History desktop icon
• Click the 'Tools' button in the toolbar.
• Set the scheduler
• Select What to Clear -> Application History.
• Check the 'Empty Recent Items list' option.
• Click the 'Apply' button.
