 What are Temporary Internet Files?
Temporary Internet Files, also known as the browser cache are files that are stored on your computer by Internet browser. Temporary Internet Files (or cache) folder contains web page content that is stored on your hard disk for quick viewing. Temporary Internet Files allow Internet browsers to download only the content that has changed since you last viewed a web page, instead of downloading all the content for a page every time it is displayed - so, the purpose of Temporary Internet Files is to speed up the loading of websites that you visit frequently by keeping copies of the web pages and graphics on your computer.

 How can I delete Temporary Internet Files using Clear All History?
To delete Temporary Internet files (deleting Temporary Internet Files):

• Double-click the Clear All History tray icon
• Click the Tool button in the toolbar.
• Select What to Clear -> Browser History item.
• Check the Delete Temporary Internet files option.
• Select the browser(s). You can delete Temporary Internet Files (cache) for several browsers simultaneously.
Note: You can manually delete the contents of Temporary Internet Files folder but this will not delete all traces of the pages because a special file called Index.dat is placed in this folder and it will still preserve the names and even the dates of your first visits to many pages. This file can't be deleted manually as it is used by Windows all the time. In Clear All Hstory "Delete Temporary Internet files" feature is combined with clearing the content of index.dat file.
• Click the Delete now button.

 Can I delete Temporary Internet Files automatically?
If you want to delete Temporary Internet files automatically:

• Double-click the Clear All History tray icon.
• Click the Tool button in the toolbar.
• Select Settings.
• Put the check mark next to Clear selected items on program start and/or Clear selected items on program exit" and/or "Cleat every..." option(s) and click the Apply button.
• Select What to Clear -> Browser History item.
• Check the Delete Temporary Internet files option.
• Select the browser(s). You can delete cache (Temporary Internet Files) for several browsers simultaneously.
• Click the Apply button.

 How can I delete Temporary Internet Files in Internet Explorer?
To delete Temporary Internet Files (deleting Temp files) in Internet Explorer 7.0:
• Select "Tools"
• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "General" tab.
• In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
• In "Delete browsing history" window click "Delete files"
•Then click Yes, and then click Close.

To delete Temporary Internet Files (deletingTemporary files) in Internet Explorer 5.x/6.x
• Open the Tools menu.

• OPen the "General" tab.
• In the "Browsing history" area, click the "Settings..." button.
• In the "Temporary Internet Files and History Settings" window, in "Disk space to use" field, enter the amount of disk space used by the Temporary Internet Files folder.

To change the size of Temporary Internet Files (Temp files) in Internet Explorer 6.x/5.x:
• Open the Tools menu.
• Select Internet Options.
• Open the General tab.
• In the "Temporary Internet files" section and click the "Settings" button.
• In the Settings box, under Amount of disk space to use, slide the bar to the right/left to increase/decrease the amount of disk space used by the Temporary Internet Files folder.
• Click OK.

To clear Windows Temporary Folders (Temporary files directory) immediately:

• Double-click the ClearAllHistory tray icon or right-click the ClearAllHistory tray icon and select the Open Main Window item.
• Click the Tool button in the toolbar.
• Select What to Clear -> Windows History item.
• Check the Empty Windows Temporary Folders option.
• Click the Empty now button.

If you want to empty Windows Temporary Folders (Temporary files directory) automatically:

• Double-click the ClearAllHistory tray icon or right-click the ClearAllHistory tray icon and select the Open Main Window item.
• Click the Tool button in the toolbar.
• Select Settings and put the check mark next to Clear selected items on program start and/or Clear selected items on program exit" option(s) and click the Apply button.
• Select What to Clear -> Browser History item and check the Empty Windows Temporary Folders option.
• Click the Apply button.
