How to delete Recent Items in Vista
To permanently delete Recent Items from Vista Start Menu, you should use special file shredder software.
The Clear All History 'Shredder' option allows you to permanently delete Recent Items without any chance for recovery.
Have already deleted Vista Recent Items using standard options? Looking for an easy solution to permanently delete 'deleted' files? Try Delete Files Permanently
'Wipe free space' option helps you protect your privacy and allows you to delete 'deleted' files without any chances for recovering
Why you should permanently delete Recent Items
Recent Items on the Start menu displays a list of documents and files that you recently used. If you delete Recent Items from Start Menu using standard options, it just removes Recent Items from the Start Menu but the files still exist on your hard disk.
Even if you empty the Recycle Bin or format your hard drive, the deleted files are not completely deleted. Windows just removes references to deleted files but the files still exist until they are overwritten by newly created files.
To protect your privacy you should permanently delete Recent Items in Vista, especially the ones that contain sensitive information.
