To clear search history in Yahoo toolbar when you close your browser:
• Click the Settings tab or Pencil icon.
• Select "Toolbar Options".
• Select "Auto-clear recent searches when exiting IE" so there's a checkmark in the box next to it.
• Click "OK".
Note: Yahoo! Toolbar for Mozilla Firefox currently does not have the ability to automatically clear search history on exit.

To disable Yahoo! Toolbar history:

• Remove the check mark from "Remember Recent Searches".
